Headlines and Healing: Rethinking Sports Injuries and CTE

The purpose of this project is to explore the complex reality of sports injuries and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), highlighting both the devastating consequences and the inspiring recoveries that emerge from them. Many people think of the negative when it comes to athletes getting injured and while it is painful and sad, some serve as an inspiration to a community and even the world. All athletes with injuries go through the good, the bad and the ugly of recovery. There are also other athletes who have to retire early and it raises questions like, do they live normal lives? Do they work a regular job? Are they still involved in sports? I worked with Tony Miele on this project.
